To overcome creative block and strengthen my animation skills, I set myself a personal project that began with a visit to an antiques shop. I chose a few objects that stood out to me and used them as inspiration to design a unique character.

Personal Project
The aim of the project was to teach myself how to work seamlessly between Adobe Illustrator and After Effects, creating a smooth, vector-based animation. I began by sketching out a character and planning the animation through rough, frame-by-frame drawings -applying three of the twelve principles of animation to guide the movement.
I then refined the character design in Illustrator before importing it into After Effects, where I animated directly using vector paths and anchor points. This process helped me improve both my technical ability and creative workflow across the two programs.
