The first story follows a boy named Leo and his bear, Fudge, as they journey across the world in a paper boat, carrying a mysterious bag. At the end of the story, the bag is revealed to contain a sapling- Leo had learned about global warming and wanted to do his part to help regrow the rainforest. The book carries an environmental message, encouraging young readers to care for the planet and you're never too small to make a difference. I illustrated this book using Procreate.
The second book tells the story of Freddie, a young boy experiencing anxiety for the first time. His anxiety takes the form of an alter ego that holds him back from making friends and stepping out of his comfort zone. The story aims to help children understand and talk about anxiety, reassuring them that they’re not alone. I used coloured pencils for the illustrations, which I then refined in Photoshop.
